During summer, the place hosts a craft market and regular events, especially concerts. It’s one of Taitung’s most popular attractions and a local hang-out spot. Selection wasn't all great, and a lot of vendors started tearing down even before 10pm. One ice cream soft serve vendor sold us a strawberry and vanilla cone which was about half the size shown in the display.
Streets lined with hawker stalls for fried chicken & pork ribs, plus toys & games, on Sunday nights. I feel they have more variety of food (or maybe they just have more food that's to my liking 🤷♀️). There's outdoor seatings available, though they might be specific to certain stalls. Decent size museum to check out some native artifacts and get away from the heat. This is a place that everyone Taiwanese citizen must visit. I essentially like about the special exhibition on Who I am, the cultural identity.
